The Hogs and Heroes Foundation along with Blue Star Survivors came out to show support for the Northern York County Regional Police Department.

From WGAL Channel 8 News:

YORK COUNTY, Pa. —

Community support continues to pour in following the police ambush on Wednesday that left three officers dead and two injured.

On Saturday, a rally was held at the Northern York County Regional Police Station, aiming to show support for the families and co-workers of the fallen officers. The Hogs and Heroes Foundation and the Blue Star Family Law Enforcement Support Association organized the rally.

"Being a former survivor of a son who was shot and killed in the line of duty, I feel the pain. I know the hurt. God bless the families. I know the path that they now have to go," said Sue Nickerson with Blue Star Survivors.

The group was mostly made up of police officers and firefighters who want to support each other in times of tragedy.

"It's not easy for the coworkers that within hours of losing a member of their department, they're back out there patrolling and doing what they do, which is protecting life and property," said Andrew Mutchler with Hogs and Heroes.
