Death of Medal of Honor Recipient Hershel "Woody" Williams

Brothers and Sisters,

It is with profound sadness that I announce the death of World War II Medal of Honor Recipient Hershel "Woody" Williams.

Woody was a great friend of our Foundation and accompanied us at many Military Bowl Parades as well as the funeral for the last surviving World War I Soldier Frank Buckles in August of 2018.

Woody was 98 years old at the time of his death. His loyalty, dedication and tenacity will be missed.

God bless him and may he rest in peace...
